SOLIDIFICATION FACILITY

Our solidification plant will be able to receive inorganic solid waste such as:

  1. Metal hydroxide sludges

  2. Mineral sludge from sulphation and oxidation processes.

  3. Sludge waste containing mercury.

  4. Residue from the pickling liquor process.

  5. Mineral sludge from the phosphating process.

  6. Spent catalyst wastes.

  7. Slag from heavy metals such as lead, zinc, aluminum and tin.

  8. Fly ash residue from the thermal treatment process

Waste that fails the Toxicity Characteristics Leaching Procedure (TCLP) test shall undergo the solidification process to ensure stabilization of heavy metal content such as cadmium, chromium, copper, arsenic, lead, nickel, and zinc, prior to the final disposal at our Secure Landfill.

Our hybrid Solidification plant has been designed with the capability of receiving liquid waste such as acid and alkaline that will be pretreated via a neutralisation process, as part of the Solidification process.

Scheduled wastes in liquid form and waste containing total organic carbon of more than 10% are not allowed by the authority to be treated at this facility.
