Waste Water Management Facility
Leachate Treatment Plant (LTP)
LTP has the capacity to treat 150m³/day of leachate generated from the operations of Secured Landfill and other operations in SSWTC. Operational 24/7, it is designed to treat and remove organic matter such as BOD, COD, and suspended solids including heavy metals and Ammoniacal Nitrogen. The contaminated wastewater from The Secured Landfill operating cells is channeled to the LTP via the drainage layer and a network of leachate collection pipes. The treatment processes consist of physical-chemical treatment, biological treatment, tertiary filtration system as well as advanced treatment using the FENTON system.
The LTP operations and leachate treatment will adhere to the strict monitoring programme to follow the Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia's standards and requirements compliance to the Environmental Quality (Control of Pollution from Solid Waste Transfer Station and Landfill) Regulations 2009.

Surface Water Treatment Plant (SWTP)
Our SWTP has been designed with an operating capacity of 250m³/day to treat all uncontaminated surface water run off within our facility. This treatment plant consists of flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration stages. Similar to the LTP, the treated water will be collected in the Treated Water Tank, where it will be reused for sanitary purposes within SSWTC.
